The DEX Events Chrome Extension requests only the minimum permissions required for its core functionality:
- activeTab: Used solely to extract the public token contract address from the URL of currently open DEX charting tabs (such as DexScreener or GMGN). No webpage DOM contents or private user inputs are read or modified.
- sidePanel: Enables the browser companion panel interface so users can view DEX analytics alongside trading charts.
- storage: Saves local user preferences (such as UI font size scale, notification toggles, and autodetect platform selections) locally on the user's device.
- notifications & alarms: Periodically checks for new trending tokens and triggers opt-in desktop alert notifications if enabled by the user in settings.
4. Anonymous Telemetry & Device UID
To provide signal attribution and track product engagement, the extension generates a randomized anonymous user identifier (e.g., dx_usr_...). This identifier is not linked to any personal identity, email address, or IP identity, and is used strictly for aggregate telemetry and performance metrics.
5. Third-Party Links & Services
Our platform provides outbound links to decentralized exchanges, blockchain explorers, and third-party trading bots (such as Telegram bots and DEX terminals). We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any third-party services they interact with.
